If you’re bored of lounging on the beach, don’t waste any more time. Come and spend your holidays in Avoriaz. At the heart of Europe’s largest bike park, with around twenty hiking and trail trails, Avoriaz is the ideal playground for sports enthusiasts. With over 70 activities in the resort alone, there’s something for all the family!
MTB / DH
Avoriaz is at the heart of the Portes du Soleil mountain bike area, the largest in Europe with 650km of marked trails. The Avoriaz Bike Park is progressive and accessible to all levels! There are plenty of downhill (DH) and enduro trails, electric mountain bike courses and fun zones for learning to ride… Whether you’re a beginner or an expert, there’s something for everyone!
Avoriaz’s great strength lies in its position within the Portes du Soleil. From the resort, you can easily reach the bike parks in Châtel, Les Gets, Morzine and Champéry-Morgins, and return to the resort just as easily thanks to the ski lifts!

Hiking
With a wide range of itineraries to choose from, the Portes du Soleil area offers a huge variety of landscapes, from ridges and forests to mountain passes, alpine pastures and views of Mont Blanc and the Dents du Midi.
More than 40 walking routes throughout the area will delight hikers in search of wide open spaces and nature, allowing them to explore the mountain fauna and flora, as well as its lakes, waterfalls and torrents.
Less than 30 minutes’ walk from Avoriaz, let yourself be tempted by a visit to an alpine farm, a picnic break at the Brochaux waterfall, a swim in Lake Montriond, a snack at the Lindarets goat village, or a glass of Fendant in a mountain village with typical Swiss chalets…
Trail running
With an area linked by 23 ski lifts, no borders, 32 summits over 2,000 m in altitude within easy walking distance and an unrivalled summer vibrancy, Avoriaz and the Portes du Soleil have positioned themselves as a true trail area. Dedicated signposting and precise pictograms will make it easy for every runner to follow their path. More than 1,700 pictograms and a sign every 250 metres or so will make it easy for runners to find their way.

A whole host of activities in the heart of the resort!
As well as mountain biking, hiking and trail running, there’s a whole host of other activities in the heart of the resort. Starting with our famous aquatic centre, Aquariaz. And the icing on the cake! Many of the resort’s activities are free or included in the Multi-Pass.

Don’t miss one of the resort’s flagship activities: the Avokart. Climb aboard a 3-wheeled vehicle fitted with hydraulic brakes and designed with a very low centre of gravity for good roadholding. Handlebars in hand, comfortably seated in your bucket seat, all that’s left for you to do is to set off on a long descent of 3.2 km and 600 m of ascent.
The secretSpot
Located in the heart of the Proclou forest, Lil’Stash is an enchanted place where little Shreddie is hiding. You’ll find tree houses and barbecues, as well as hanging walkways, a slide, ropes, sculptures and games. There’s plenty to do in this unique spot in France, from tree climbing to bivouacking.
