Your holiday
Adapted
For several years now, the resort of Avoriaz 1800 has been committed to welcoming people with disabilities and facilitating their holiday in the mountains.
Avoriaz 1800 is a resort that is 100% snow-covered . In winter, our streets are transformed into ski slopes and access for people with reduced mobility can be severely affected.
However, solutions exist to facilitate access to the resort’s amenities and infrastructure.
TransportsResort
To get around the resort easily, transport has been available since the resort was founded.
The chenillettes and sleds are available 24 hours a day. Avoriaz 1800’s internal transport service does not require a reservation, simply order your transport when ready outside.
For transport, a single number is available

SkiingFor everyone
Specialised and trained instructors are there to help you discover the joys of skiing with equipment adapted to each person (dual ski chair and uniski), suitable for beginners as well as for experienced skiers. We support disabled sport
Anthony Chalençon, a high-level athlete supported by the commune of Morzine-Avoriaz, is blind due to retinal degeneration. Since 2013, he has been sharing everything with his guide Lucas Duperrex, a top-level athlete. Together, they became world champions with the French disabled sports team in the relay event at the World Championships in Cable, USA.
A former alpine skier who took part in the Vancouver Paralympic Games in 2010, it is on the international Nordic ski circuit that we find Anthony Chalençon and his guide Lucas Duperrex. After only two years in this new discipline, he won his first gold medal in the relay at the World Championships in Cable (USA) in 2015.
In 2018, his guide was Simon Valverde with whom he participated in the Pyongchang Olympic Games.
Since then his guide is Brice Ottonello.
