The Stash

3 slopes of varying levels join up half way down and lead to a cabin hidden in the middle of pine trees, then seperate again to snake their way along this beautiful forests hidden by-ways. The cabin is where messages are subtly spreas, not forced down throats, about actions that can limit enviromental damage. It is also possible to engrave your own message in the wood. The snowpark is made of natural elements such as a wall for vertical sliding, log and tree trunl obstacles, wooden tables for sliding on, jumps from paths and rocks, trees bent like rainbows, snow shock absorbers, wooden slides, ramps and natural obstacles.

The Stash

Situated in the middle of a large expanse of un-groomed snow, it is ideal for trying out wide turns in powder snow. These slopes wind in and out of the trees in the Lindaret forest and are punctuated with hidden wooden obstacles all around the circuit.

SNOWPARK

When it comes to designing ski slopes and snowparks, Avoriaz 1800 has always been good at stretching the imagination.

True to the eco-friendly snowpark concept, the Stash is no exception. It is a direct import from North Star, a resort in California. Jake Burton, the founder of Burton Snowboard, is the man behind this reinvention of the snowboarding discipline. The Stash really gets you close to nature in the safety of a dedicated FREERIDE and FREESTYLE area.

Located in the heart of a vast open space covered in fresh, ungroomed snow, it offers a chance to trace turns in the powder. The slopes cross the great Lindarets forest and are scattered with wooden sculptures and modules that you’ll come across by chance while exploring the « secret passages »

The Stash has plenty of options for « Intermediates » and « Experts », as well as a « Snake run » where boardercross fans can practise on the very tight berms. Halfway down, a hut beckons you to take a break and is the ideal spot for a picnic.

The Stash is in the Lindarets sector of the Avoriaz ski area and can be reached via the 6-seater Prolays chairlift.

Snowboard fans can use the 1-day « Parks & Stash » lift pass to access the snowparks of Avoriaz 1800.

Avoriaz

Avoriaz 1800 was designed with pedestrians in mind, in line with the "car-free" concept that marked the beginnings of this resort which continues to innovate to protect the environment.

Portes du Soleil ski Area

Les Portes du Soleil is a vast cross-border area (France/Switzerland) linked by a network of ski lifts. The ski area is one of the largest in the world, boasting 12 resorts and 400 km2.

Snowpark d'Arare

A historic snowpark in Avoriaz, created in 1993, it is a legendary spot for experienced riders. It features two jump lines (L and XL) and two rail and box lines (M and L), along with many other modules, including a small half-pipe.

Snowpark de la Chapelle

La Chapelle is a snowpark for all riders. It’s the perfect place to train and improve. It features four kicker lines of different levels (XS, S, M, and L) for smooth progression, as well as two jib lines (S and L) with boxes and rails.
