Avrizou Nursery welcomes children aged 6 months to 3 years in a brand-new facility of 300m² fully adapted for young children. Children are welcomed every day from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, except on Saturdays.

A ski resort for children of all ages
We are a vehicle-free, 100% ski-to-door resort. Unique in France, Avoriaz 1800 makes children the masters of space and offers them plenty of freedom.
To allow your budding riders to progress at their own pace, the ski area features dedicated spaces adapted to each level:
- 3 zones for beginners,
- 37 green slopes,
- 123 blues,
- 100 reds and
- 30 blacks
Safety is our priority in the Avoriaz 1800 ski area. Specially-trained, qualified and experienced staff watch over your day-to-day wellbeing and ensure your safety on the new-generation facilities. The Safety Team are there to protect you from danger in the Avoriaz ski area and to ensure skiers comply with mountain safety regulations.
In Avoriaz 1800, children under the age of 5 ski for free, and the child skipass is valid up to the age of 15 years (inclusive) rather than the usual 12 years. There’s also a reduced rate for teenagers aged 16 to 19 years.
LilStash
The Lil’stash, a snowpark suitable for children is the ideal spot for learning to slide and discover those first freestyle sensations. The blue slope starting at Avoriaz is a wide beginners’ run with a fun area installed down one side.
The whoops (a succession of bumps), little kickers (moguls) and boxes (freestyle modules) are at ground level to allow them to stay in control and make gentle progress.
On their way down the slope they’ll discover the world of Shreddie, the friendly Yeti of Proclou forest, and his tree-hut village. This picnic area features a gas barbecue (self-service) and invites you to take a well-deserved break with the family. There’s even a swing shaped like a giant banana to ensure you really unwind.
The Lil’Stash is a smaller version of the Stash. These eco-friendly snowparks have been designed and developed in collaboration with BURTON Snowboard.
The Children'sVillage
Annie Famose’s Children’s Village opened in 1975 for the benefit of children aged 3 to 16 years. Here, small and older children alike can learn to ski through a method that’s never been matched in France.
The teaching principles developed here are based on fun activities and games that help children to adopt the correct positions in the most natural way possible. Each child progresses at his own pace and the lessons are alternated with indoor activities (drawing, puppets, modelling clay, etc.).
The Children’s Village is located in the centre-resort and within 300 metres of each apartment block, making it very convenient for families.

Snow mountain biking with MCF
Rides in the heart of nature. Electric mountain biking on snow is fun and accessible to everyone, regardless of your skill level or physical condition.
Introduction or improvement to Biathlon
Introduction or improvement in group lessons (minimum 4 people) or individually. Biathlon courses are available on request at the ESF Avoriaz. Do not hesitate to contact us to discover this activity, which combines laser rifle shooting and cross-country skiing!
Visit to the Seraussaix Farm
Visit the farm and its animals and discover the life and know-how of mountain farmers. The farm is located on the Terroir et Savoir-Faire du Haut-Chablais route.
E-fat bike with Évolution 2
Initiate yourself to the E-Fat Bike activity and discover this practice combining the practice of cycling with the pleasure of the snow.

Movie Theater "Portes du Soleil"
The Portes du Soleil cinema offers several films a day, some of which are previews. There are 2 to 3 screenings per day. The cinema also opens on Saturdays during school holidays. You have the possibility to see films in 3D.
Discovery of the resort by sleighs
Guided tours of Avoriaz, a great achievement of the 20th century heritage. The sleighs are waiting for you at the entrance to the resort, at the resort center (near the riding school) or at the Jean Vuarnet square. Several tours are possible with different durations.
